It's Been A Year...

This photo, taken by our friend Dick Bloomenkranz, is of my dad flying his plane. One of his favorite things to do. I like to remember him this way.

It's been 1 year since we lost my dad. It feels like yesterday and it feels like it happened 10 years ago all at the same time. Whenever we have a situation where we're stuck, we always say with both sadness & pride, "Dad would know the answer." There have been so many instances where I've wanted to call, text or just yell across the office for him to answer my questions, or just be there to listen when I have a rough day about anything from a flat tire, a tax or finance question, to tough deal.

Today I'm veering off-course, putting the real estate tips, tricks, explanations & advice to the side in lieu of reflection & appreciation, because as I mentioned, it's been 1 year.

This weekend, Memorial Day 2019, a weekend to appreciate those who have & continue to serve our country & a weekend to spend time with those you love, I ask you to take moment, put your mobile device down, be present, talk with your family & friends, celebrate the time you have together.

To honor Memorial Day, I want to thank each and every person who has served our country with bravery and honor. On a personal note I want to reflect & remember our history as a country, as a family & as an individual. Finally, I am looking forward to positive growth & happiness both personally and professionally. None of this is easy, but it's worth it.
